Sounds like your grafts didn't take or the root stock died. You didn't say how old the tree is or when it was planted? Try again but maybe stick with one variety, call your AG agent for the area and ask what grows best in your soil. You can't beat a fresh picked apple! Well maybe other fresh picked fruit also.
