Some of the fancier copiers can just place one block on the scanner & duplicate it as many times as would fill the page. I wouldn't try it on my home printer, but even the school district might do it for you? (for a nominal fee)
I think the Vilene I have would be too flimsy, it really isn't difficult to trace on, just a bit time consuming when you want 40 blocks, but I don't have to do them all at once do I
