Tape to your tile floor. It works better than carpet. Buy a cheap pair of knee pads so you don't kill your knees. Believe me, they are worth it.

Starch, starch, starch the back. Get it as stiff as you can. It really helps.

Spray basting seems to work really well, but it is pricey and I'm cheap so I end up pinning most of the time. Pin it like crazy -- and then pin it some more. That seems to help me.
