We like the old machines because the vast majority of them are very well made, not plastic wonders like the new machines of today. I sew with a Singer that was made in 1937 and sews as well as the day it was made; its a treadle
machine. I use my old machines, I am a quilter and make garments too. I also collect and use Singer Featherweights.
