I have an Aunt that treasures hand made items so much that she does not use them either!! She will show them to everyone that is willing to look at them!! LOL So, if she requests something - I will make it,but I try to get her to use it too!!!
Both of my Aunt also enjoys what I have made for them, they are so proud that every new friend was shown the items I made. Both are craft oriented especially the youngest, she is into folk art painting and when she is well she teaches it to others including my daughter, and my GD who was 3 at the time. She has not been well this last year so DD has not been to see her.
