Just a few thoughts:
1. A bargello is busy enough to stand on its own.
2. I would suggest that your next Bargello you add fabric with print to give your Bargello movement. I wish I knew how to attach files (I'm working on it!). I've just completed an Around the World Bargello and there are prints in it that make the finished product come alive. Remember, the prints will be cut into small pieces, so what's on the bolt will transform into something beautiful. If you're a little nervous, begin by selecting prints that "read as solid," and see the difference!
