I had Landon (4) with me at grocery store last week as we go in I remind him to use his manners. We save the cereal isle for last. So, we are going down the cereal isle and there were 2 ladies at the other end with their carts facing different directions blocking the isle. We picked out our cereal for 2 weeks. It takes us a while..we proceed to come up the isle toward the ladies. Pushing the buggy right up next to them Landon grins his cute face and sweetly says, "Scuse me, Please." They glance at us and keep right on with their conversation. He repeats it again, waits for movement, none. He repeats it again just a little louder. They look at us again, no movement. He repeats it again a little louder, they keep on talking like we are not even there...I am refraining from stepping in at this point because I want to see how he will handle the situation. Precious child looks up at me completely irritated, rolls his eyes and channels his father. He stomped his foot and says loud enough for everyone in the small store to hear, " GEEEZZ Lady, Would you move already? You are being so rude." I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing out loud. The one going the same way we were grabs her buggy and huffs off around the corner. As we pass by the other one she makes a remark under her breath about how he was the rude one and I allowed it. I smiled at her sweetly and said, "He is adorable isn't he? Thank you for moving. You have a Blessed day now." When we got to the registers the cashiers, having seen the whole altercation, were laughing so hard they were crying. One of them told me that the women had been standing there gossiping for almost an hour and had not moved for other shoppers either.
