I have a machine that the shaft is bent too above the needle area and wondering how did that come about? Cuz, I brought it like that for $4 and it's a Singer so one day i will take it in for repairs but at least i have my 306 and a fw... Hope it is simple & inexpensive to fix and so you can get about your merry way of finishing that quilt! Sorry for your machine breaking down.
