Hey!! Ok... here's another round of pictures!

This was my first try at making a blankie-type quilt. I made it for a little girl that my son went to daycare with for her 2nd birthday. The fabrics were a mix of terry and cotton and it was SO snuggly!! I made the little matching dolly blankie quilt too that's in the pic.

I made this for my mother-in-law as a housewarming gift when they built and moved into their new home. It matches their paint in the downstairs of the house. It's a Rail Fence pattern... very simple and quick to piece.

I participated in a Row Robin. My row is the 2nd one in from the right. THAT was the hardest thing I'd done to that point... it was supposed to be paper pieced, but I couldn't figure out how to do that, so I just cut the fabric and sewed it together like normal. I think it looks pretty ok for not doing it w/ the paper pieces. LOL That one is still just a quilt top too, no actual quilting done

THEN I decided I was going to host my OWN swap. So I ran a Friendship Star block swap. This picture shows 31 of the star blocks I'd recieved by that time. In the end, I have a whopping total of 91 of them!!!!!! Way plenty to put together a king size quilt. Every one of those stars has writing on them: the person's name who made it, the year, the city & state where she lives, and something else I can't remember. LOL

This was back when I first started learning to piece. These are just pieced rows... I never did anything else with them. I don't like the fabrics AT ALL.

This is for me and my couch!!! It's a huge 100% cotton flannel (THICK flannel, too!)... I think I'm done with the blocks... I will just add borders now.

This is one of those art quilts.... I bought the pattern at a quilt show with the intention of making it for my daughter. She was... like... 7 or 8 at the time? Now she's 14 and probably won't want it anymore. LMAO The picture of the pattern has glare, but I wanted you to see what MINE is supposed to end up looking like:

And here's what I've got so far. All 5 rows of the log cabin blocks and the 2 dolphins. All that's left, really, is the blue background and the two-tone blue pieced border.

At one point I thought I was going to do a Jewels quilt. LOL

And 8 Monkey Wrench blocks

A Nine Patch Chain baby girl quilt top. The pink fabric is Peter Cotton Tail.

I just LOOOOVE these little Nine Patch Heart blocks!!! I'd love to do a whole quilt with them. I was all set to host a swap for these... but something kept me from doing it. Pretty sure I was burned out by that huge Friendship Star swap I did.

[img]http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...PatchHeart.jpg[/img]

I made easy Nine Patch placemats for our family

And I have hundreds of these Nine Patch blocks from a monthly swap I did. Each month you had to do a different color. Like January could be blues, and February was reds, etc etc. I did most of the months and have oodles of these patches as a result. LOL!!!!!!

These sit with me here on my couch... This one is a Shaggy... made from homespun cottons... and the interior layer is a thick cream colored cotton flannel.

The pillow is made exactly like the quilt, only with smaller squares. :D

The story on this one..... My daughter (who's 14) wanted a black comforter and hot pink sheets for her bed. I recently saw a quilt in a magazine that's black and white with a hint of a different color in it (in the magazine it's yellow, I made it hot pink for this quilt). My DD is also a wannabe fashion designer who LOVES the show Project Runway. I just happened to find the new line of fabrics FROM the show Project Runway, and most of them are black and white!!! It was totally perfect. You can't see the individual designs on the fabrics in this picture, but later I'll take a closerup picture. Super cute and perfect for this purpose.

This is a Full/Queen size... or will be when I'm done with it. :D
