I tried the quilt clips and had coordination problems with them. I invented a new use for those little binder clips from Walmart/Dollar store. I now use them since they don't bend the fabric, and do not catch my tread as I am trying to hand sew. I use about ten(3-4 inches apart) in a row, then remove them as I stitch up to them. I just work until they are all off, then put them on again. I have not ironed the binding once it is on the quilt. I just fold the binding over, then put the clips on.
