I would also check out the inside to see how "clean" it is. One old machine I had, I turned over and took the bottim off of it (suitcase style). There was a casing there, being the curious type, I took it off. The seal fell apart and the grease inside was thick and old enough I think Noah used it. I used automotive engine degreaser to clean it and then packed it with grease again automotive type. Also bought automotive cork and cut my own seal. Sews real quiet, now to figure out how to set the timing....it catches the needle at times.
