I have never had that happen with warm and natural, which is basically the same thing... I'm sorry, but it sounds like she may have allowed your quilt to come into contact with something else... :(
Are you talking about bearding... little bits poking up through the needle holes of the quilting? If so, I agree with what was previously stated by Nursie76.
