I cut these by hand with my cutting board, ruler, and rotary cutter. They take quite a bit of time. As far as rolling them, my mother made the "good luck" face when I told her I was going to try to make some. The first one I made was the purple one and it rolled up just perfect! I lay the strips in a row (with the folds just below each other. Then when I have all the strips lined up, I flip the whole thing over, fold the ends up over and then start rolling. When it starts to push the fabrics up, I do a snap motion with it on the table and it straightens right out. Hmmm, ok it is harder to describe than I thought. Next time I make one I will have to have my daughter take pictures as I go. :)
