Sorry and I hate to sound stupid but I've not heard of the slider before and that may be because I've not done my own quilting. However, am going to try to do my own because it's too expensive to send the quilts out. Anyway, I don't quite understand how you are using this---does it go under the quilt to help slide it along or what? Can you explain for me. Thanks much

Yes, It goes on the bed of the machine. The slick surface helps when you move the quilt while you are FMQ. I injured my hand again so I have not been able to use it. Hopefully soon.

Thank you, I had surgery on hand in May . It takes a little over a year to heal and I fell on it a couple of weeks ago and now I am in a splint again until it is better. Darn. Always something!!
