I went to high school with Jack Frost. There is a doctor in town named Dr. Dentist. For whatever reason it makes me think of this story.
My married last name is "Stanbro," which is a very unusual name. There are only about 100 in the entire country. My father-in-law was always talking about the misspellings they got in the mail. One was addressed to
Mr. St. Anbro, which became a family joke.
But his first two initials were H. A. Also, he grew avocados and sold them, so he had a small grove. One day he got mail addressed to "Haston Bros" Get it? HA Stan bro Forever after he called his place Haston Brothers Orchards.
He was a hoot. He died 15 years ago. I loved him as much as I loved my own father--maybe more.
