I just want to welcome you to this site. It really is wonderful, and you will meet a whole family of people who share your love for quilting. I feel so sad about what happened with your machines. I have a 2 Viking machines, an old 940 that is a jewel, and a Rose which does more basic embroidery, but I love it. I also have a 2 yr. old Janome Threadbanger 30 that I take to class, and I like it too. Your 2005 Janome is fairly new to call it quits. Perhaps it can be repaired fairly reasonably. But if it can't, another thought is to consider buying one used. My Viking Rose was a pre-loved machine that I bought when the owner traded up. I've had it for 10 years now without the first problem, and I sew a lot! I bet you make beautiful quilts, and it is wonderful that you make them for Charity. I pray that God will bless you with another machine so that you can continue doing what you love!
