This is my first bargello quilt. I am not a fall color person but the pattern (from an issue of Quilters World) called to me. Our little quilt group in my neighborhood picked this pattern to do so it fit right into my plans.
I did modify it by cutting out oak leaves and acorns to machine applique on instead of creating the maple leaf block. It was also supposed to be a wall hanging but there was no way I was going to trim it down after all that sewing so I made it into a very large lap quilt.
My neighbor likes it so much she is buying it as soon as I get it quilted (hand). I told her she would have it by next fall. (lol)
