I did modify it by cutting out oak leaves and acorns to machine applique on instead of creating the maple leaf block. It was also supposed to be a wall hanging but there was no way I was going to trim it down after all that sewing so I made it into a very large lap quilt.
My neighbor likes it so much she is buying it as soon as I get it quilted (hand). I told her she would have it by next fall. (lol)
Thanks to everyone who has replied. I was hesitant about posting (its my first post but not first quilt) but I so loved how it turned out and after seeing all the bargellos on the board I knew I had to try it. This one certainly was not difficult so I reccommend to anyone hesitating they just take the plunge!
