One of my favorite memories in sewing involved my senior prom. I wanted something different so I made this simple corset out of black vinyl which I wore with a black skirt and boots...ended up being twice because I screwed up the first one right before it was done. I worked on it every day for a whole week and got done with it half an hour before my ride to prom came. I didn't think it was anything incredibly special but someone had asked me "Hey, where did you buy that?" Had the worst time at prom, but my top looked nice.

Quilting memories? I haven't finished enough quilts to have many. I suppose my favorite would have to be when I finally got done with the evil denim quilt. It was the second quilt I made (the first being a simple baby quilt). I worked on it in the middle of May and we had no air conditioning at the time. I mostly worked on it at night with the window open for that reason, but it was still pretty humid at times. Practically the whole time I was quilting this, if I recall correctly, I watched the first box set of "Gundam Wing" (had yet to get the other set containing the second half of the season) over and over. Couldn't tell you how many times I swore at the quilt and sewing machine. I almost threw the quilt in the trash when my first attempt to sandwich the thing together with basting spray. But when it was finished it looked awesome!
