As a teacher, I came across lots of "unusual" names, but the names that come to mind right now are the family of seven girls whose names were Patience, Pleasure,Passion Precious, ...and I can't remember the others now but they were all given "P" words for names.

My DH was given an very unusual name (and he was a Jr. named after his father). Still today, when he is introduced, someone will always ask, "and what is your real name?" or "Is that a nickname?" And his family members don't even use his given name; they call him by his initials. UGGH! I've got it easy, I call him Honey and the kids call him Dad. The grandkids and the greatgrands call him Toto (yes, as in the Wizard of Oz) because it is part of his name. No, I won't reveal his name.
