Something else that works is your dryer fabric softener sheets...While the iron is still very warm, take a sheet, (protect your hands) and use the dryer sheet to clean the bottom of the iron...leaves it smooth and clean and your iron will glide across your clothes/fabric....Have done this for several years now...works great!
