Dyed....and gone to heaven?! :O) Ok, sorry....sometimes these titles crack me up.
Yes, I've died fabric. My husband has black jeans that fade....I use the RIT liquid dye on them....I've also died denim skirts to make them live longer, again with the RIT liquid dye. Make sure it is rinsed WELL and use BLEACH in your machine for a couple of loads AFTER you use dye otherwise your clothes might have a slight color case of your dye.
I tried dying some fabric once and it never made it out smooth....it looked wrinkly and tie-died....a look I didn't want.
Be sure to use gloves...my hands were blue & green for a few days. Also, make sure your cloth is completely submerged. If you can, use a washing machine, but many use buckets and have great success....I am sure you will have more success than I had....
