I wanted to make a quilt for the lady that I have been caring for, she asked for a log cabin in autumn colours, thanks to my fabric angels on here, charity shop finds and ebay I have found around 80/100 different fabrics to make a scrappy uneven log cabin. I will probably do an appliqued vine in the neutral sections, laying out in the barn raising design.

After my disaste r with the 'Foundation by the yard' I searched on ebay and found a roll of 30cm x 25m light non-iron vilene, got it for £6.50 inc. P&P!!which I will now use to foundation piece each block (just means I have to trace the pattern out 48 times!!) but at least it saves me hours of ripping out paper!!
