Try drawing the block on graph paper to scale it up. Just change the number of inches each graph-paper square represents. This can help you figure out how many blocks of what size to use, too. A standard (Eastern) king mattress is 76" wide x 80" long. A California (Western) king is 72" wide x 84" long.
If this is true then I will be making a much larger quilt than a king. She did the measuring and came up with the size. Now that brings to question of how much I should charge for such a large quilt. That I don't know.
