Thank you everyone, for the welcome and the advise. I have the book "The Seminole Patchwork Book" by Cheryl Greider Bradkin published 1980. Has over 60 patterns and great "step-by-step". Already tried out a few. Looks like the colors he wants are leading to "bold" for the patchwork. Dose anyone know a good source for baby rickrack? These jackets take tons of it!
