I know exactly what you mean. When I did the September block swap, I got it ready and sent it right away. Didn't get one back until August. Didn 't learn a thing so sent the October one right away, Didn't get mine until the very last day of October. Well, guess I learned the lesson, not sending my November block out for at least a week.
