I checked this one at the Houston show. It was nice, but the man tells me that other than the storage of the extra feet and the light at the needle, oh, and the pop up chart of the stitches they were the same working machine as my Janome 6600. I love mine and I do not think I would trade it in for the Horizon. You made a good choice.
Also the 7700 has a convertible plate. It automatically switches from single hole to zig zag. Plus the extra throat space and I think some more stitches.
