Those elephants are so cute. I am doing my first pieced quilt and doing it by hand. I like to have something to do with my hands in the evenings when I watch TV with hubby so this really suits my needs and is why I am doing the hand sewing. I sort of hate being "cooped" up in the bedroom with the sewing machine for long periods of time. I am finding I am more accurate by hand piecing as well. The crazy quilt I made was fun because I could do it anywhere as it was by hand.
