I am new to quilting. My first quilt started out as curtains for my laundry room and grew into a two sided (summer and winter sides) nine square quilt. It is big and heavy. To bad because we do not use it. I took it to a quilter and before it was quilted and bound it cost $417.00. A little much to say the least. Then thought I'd try another and didn't know what to make so did a Christmas Quilt. Had a pattern for this one. I just took it to the quilters. It is a large queen. Don't like little quilts. Now I have started a Tumbling Blocks quilt. Am just using scraps. I am one that doesn't like to make stuff, especially as large as a quilt, and not use it. So, I have decided to make just quilt tops. They aren't so large to store. Then when I get daring I might try to quilt the quilt myself. I'm afraid of the unknown so is hard to venture onto unknown territory. But after a time of thinking, and a daring mood I do manage to finish projects. Have a great day
