Also in picture is where I store my rulers, behind a door, on peg board. DH did this for me last year. There are long screws hanging out to catch the holes in the rulers.
I am so jealous..I had a daughter and 2 granddaughters living with us for 2 years and had to pack up my sewing room to make room for the children. When I say pack up I mean literally pack in boxes and put in storage about 95% of my sewing room.
They moved out a couple months ago and I am still trying to make sense of my sewing room. We painted and removed the carpet and put in laminate flooring. I bought two 2 drawer file cabinet and DH made a table top to go over the cabinets. There is a space about 26" between the cabinets for knee space, this is now my sewing table rather than a 6 ft. folding table. My cutting table DH made for me several years ago. He stacked two sets of King water bed drawers, anchored them together and made a top for that. It has 12 drawers in it and they come in real handy. I am folding my fabric like AlaskaSunshine did in her tute but I used heavy corrugated cardboard boxes that were going to be thrown out at Menard's. DH cut them to size and they are working out just fine and they were free. When I get this room done I will have to post pics. I love all the sewing rooms I have been seeing on the thread.
