As you all know I am so new to quilting (1 month), so I have lots and lots of questions.

What exactly is quilt as you go? Can you actually quilt an entire block before you sew it to another?

I am making rag quilts for my GK to hone my non existenmt skills and I am sewing an X in each block before I sew it together. Is that an example of quilt as you go? I am so easily confused!
