I didn't use to check them closely, but I do now. Bought some books at Jo Ann's recently when they were discounted 50%. Great bargain, but I was charged twice for the same book. Caught the mistake while sitting in my car so went right back in and no problem getting a refund. Now I check every receipt from every retailer, in this economy every penny counts.
