I have the Brother 2600XL. It works fine. I have a universal walking foot and FMQ foot. My only complaint is the throat space is small and that can be tough to quilt large things. Tough but not impossible. I can manage straight stitching on larger things. FMQ doesn't work well for me on big projects. I end up with too much stuff crammed in the throat.
For most things, I'd say it is a good machine for the money.
Yes, the throat space is small on the LS2125 too. I haven't tried my hand at FMQ yet, though.
