This winter I plan to do a lot more quilting than in the past. When I was working 10 hours a day there wasn't much time for it. I usually machine piece and then have my quilts machine quilted but plan to do some hand quilting this year. I have done a little but want to get better at it. I love the old time patterns and quilting the best. Now if I can just get started on something. I love looking at the ideas on this site and I think that will get me going.

Hi Lois, Welcome from a fellow West Virginian. I live a couple of hours east of you. Have you been to the little quilt shop in Harrisville called Pieces of the Past. It is a great little shop. I go to North Bend State Park regularly in September for a painting retreat and try to visit that shop while I am there. I think you will enjoy the board and find a lot of encouragement and inspiration to quilt.
