I disagree with everyone! I still find it useful to sit with a nice glass of wine or cup of tea and relax with a pile of magazines. I dream about what I might make and it's usually an adaptation of something I've seen in several magazines all together. I love American Patchwork and Quilting for the variety of skill levels it covers. I also like Quiltmaker for its very clear patterns. This is a journey, and everyone learns differently. You might just get a few every few months until you settle on one or two you rely on. Some magazines don't appear on our newsstands locally so I find I have to subscribe.
