Crap. I didn't even think about the throat size. I was just trying to find something within my price range with good ratings (going off of walmart.com) that would do the basics and had a drop in bobbin (once had a machine with the bobbin that loaded in the side and I hardly used it because I could never get the bobbin to load right even when I was going through the manual).
