I bought a top of the line GE top loader in January and had to have the motor replaced by April or May. My suggestion is do not buy a GE!!! Appliance store paid for motor and 3 service calls since it was so new. I have heard that about front loaders and the smell. Kind of glad I did not get one now. Before now I had Magtags - think they are made by someone else now.
