I'm finding that to be so true and it's really sad. I remember growing up and we had the same appliances for 20 years easily. Nothing is made like it used to be. Is it by design to keep us buying, poor workmanship, bad parts? Don't know but my mother would have thought I was crazy to replace an appliance that was only 3-5 years old.
