I did the same thing about a year ago, but it was my first finger in the way. Hurt pretty bad. I then bought the clutz glove from Fons and Porter to protect my hand. Those blades sure are sharp aren't they? I'm glad you didn't lose your thumb!! Good luck on healing up quickly!!
