I make the cornbread dressing almost the same as you. The only difference is that (once a year only) I make bacon, crisp it up and then crumble it into the bread, veggie mix. I also add a little sage. I worry about the safety of putting the dressing into the turkey, so I bake it in a separate casserole dish (it also then has the crisp top that my husband likes).
Anyway you make it ... always great!
