Google Grandmas Flower Garden quilts and you will see alll kinds of borders and ways that people have finished them off. I am currently finishing GFG for my aunt and she was disappointed that the other i did for her didn't fit her full-size bed. And that is what got me looking for borders.
I found this picture and used vintage 30s reproduction fabrics to make the border.
