I am concerned the steam might cause water to get under the laminate and cause buckleing or mold/mildew underneath. We had to pull ours up after Ike. To clean I used a product from Home Depot and appied it with one of those square mops. It also works on wood flooes as well. O course since it has been 2 years, I don't remember the name.
