I make sweet potatoes just like I would do regular mashed potatoes:

Peel fresh ones.
Cut into cubes
Boil until soft.
Throw 'em in the kitchenaid with:
Milk (or heavy cream...YUM!)
Butter
Salt
Pepper
A PINCH of brown sugar. PINCH!!!
