I make these, they are super easy and you can skip the cross stitch, just use really pretty fabric. Just a styrafoam ball, cut in half. Cut 2 circles of fabric and attach to ball by using a sharp knife and gently pushing the fabric into the flat cut part of the ball. Then hot glue together and put ribbon around the seam to hide it, then cut a piece of ribbon for a bow and the hanger, tie the bow, put hanger piece on the top, put the bow on top of the raw edges of the hanger, and secure with a pin with a colored ball at the top. I bought some of the pins with pearlized balls on the top.
