OBW stands for One Block Wonder. Each block is a hexagon consisting of six sixty degree triangles, which makes the center point have about eight layers coming together. Kind of like a star point. The 7700 sewed fine over two layers, but when it got to the center bulky part, wouldn't go over without major tugging, even with the new redesigned foot.
