I don't use my MegaQuilter on a frame any longer. When I did, it wasn't picky at all on as to the brand. I did use the same thread on top and bottom. I really liked Isacord, and I didn't have any tension problems. As long as your tension is correct, you shouldn't see the thread from the other side.
