It is such a pretty quilt and any little girl would love it. It reminds me of a story told by one of the quilters in my quilt group. She made a quilt for the daughter of her son's friend. She folded the quilt and placed it in a box with a note for the little girl on top of the quilt. The daughter was so awe struck by the quilt that she would take it out of box every night and put it on her bed. Every morning she would take it off the bed and fold it and place it back in the box with the note on top. She did that every night for 9 years. She is now in college and the quilt is with her. We all wonder if she is still doing the same thing she did for those 9 years. She holds the quilt dear to her heart and I think she will forever cherish her quilt. It makes me tear up just thinking how cherished the gift of that quilt is to that little girl who is now a woman. We just never know how our quilts are going to affect the ones we give them too. I hope my quilts are cherished like that.
