You might call it fudging, but it is really called "Easing". The more you have to do it the more likely you either cut something wrong or are sewing with the wrong seam allowance. I rarely have to ease pieces together to get them to fit correctly, but can ease as much as an extra inch into 4" when I have to fix someones stretchy bias.
