Sometimes members of this board have dresden plate pieces for sale. Check out the classified section! Also, Connecting Threads catalog has a lot of pre-cut shapes.
Another size sold is 10" squares, some call them "layer cake". That would give you the fabric of four 5" squares with a little more wiggle room to cut your segments.
