That's my hit on it too. I have two boys. Neither of them showed any interest until nearly three, and then it happened VERY fast. They were dry at night too, and never once ever wet the bed. Paper diapers mean that babies don't feel uncomfortable and wet. We used cloth almost exclusively, but they still have to know they're doing something before they'll be ready to train. Mine just didn't. I never wanted to make a big deal about it, and it never was a big deal. I always figured it would happen in its own time because I never knew anyone at school who was still in diapers. It did. Oh yes, and M&M's were a great incentive. One for potty, two for pooey.
