I live in New Bern and love to quilt. There is a wonderful group of ladies and a gentleman that met on Thursday mornings to quilt, Twin Rivers Quilter's Guild. They meet in the basement of Tabernacle Baptist Church downtown. Fairfield Harbor also has a quilting group (Fairfield Quilters?) that meet in the evenings. There may be a posting at "the community center" or "clubhouse" about the Fairfield group that your son could be so kind to check into for you. I'm hoping to start quilting with the Fairfeilds group soon since I now have work in the mornings. There are several people that live in Fairfield that have a passion to quilt.
Thank you for the info My Son already told me about the group in Fairfield Habor. He is coming home for Christmas and we are going to visit in Febuary. I can't wait. I can hear the snow plow now we had a few inches of snow yesterday. I use to love it but now I am afraid of falling so I hate the ice.
